The jacket covering suggests the book was intended for a lending library but it has no stamps or other marks associated with this. Light browning to endpapers and a small tear in the edge of page 147. The book has an odour - probably from the home of a smoker - but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has quite heavy fading to the spine and browning along the right side of the rear panel.
